We believe God, as Father, Son and Holy Spirit created the universe and has revealed Himself to humankind through history but primarily in the person of Jesus Christ. We believe that the bible is the inspired word of God and the sole authority in matters of faith. We recognise the importance of being a part of a worshipping community in order to understand fully God’s word. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. We believe that the New Testament portrait of God calls us to lead radically different lives, such lives cannot fail to be salt and light to those around us. We seek to live our lives for Jesus, communicating the Good News not only in words but also in our actions and behaviour. We belive the church must be mission-focused to be faithful to Jesus’ teaching and that an important role of the church is to equip believers to share their
faith effectively.
We believe that God still gives spiritual gifts to His people and that God distributes these gifts among the body of believers according to His wisdom and grace in order to build up and strengthen. Such gifts have a part to play in corporate worship, as the community of believers seeks to meet with God and experience intimacy with Him.
We believe that the local church is vital in God’s purposes and is the primary way in which the Kingdom of God is extended on earth (“your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven”).
